We are looking to expand our development team with a PHP web application developer. Developers with us build scalable & robust solutions used by millions of users. The candidate must be comfortable working within a large codebase and multi-tier architecture system and have an understanding of software development life cycles.
As part of a fast paced, dynamic team, your extraordinary powers will be put into action with a wide range of development, implementation, and maintenance activities. Everyone is empowered and responsible for innovating, building, producing and putting their 'super powers' to work on our projects.
Responsibilities:
*Write reusable code preferably using classes and libraries
*Programming databases specially MySQL
*Establishing projects from scratch or working on accessible projects
*Developing front-end and back-end applications
*Staying aware of security issues in PHP
*Updating the sites and backend by adding new features
Desired Profile:
*Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
*1.5+ years of experience developing eCommerce web applications
*PHP5 - candidate should be familiar with the latest features in PHP 5.2.X and 5.3.X
*Knowledge of software design patterns and experience working in an MVC framework
*MySQL - modern database development expertise & various optimization techniques
*AJAX & jQuery development experience
*Basic knowledge of HTML5 , CSS, XML
*Experience working with third-party APIs and web services
*Familiarity with basic *NIX commands
*Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques and technology
*Ability to work individually or in a team to beat tight deadlines
*Ability to prioritize and multi-tasking
*Excellent communication skills & self-motivated
