We have a fantastic opportunity for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team based in Gurgaon, New Delhi.

The Infrastructure Systems Engineer's role is to lead and drive the design, implementation and optimization of company systems, datacenters and their related components to achieve high performance and availability. This includes collaborating with software architects, engineers and product managers to drive the transformation to next-generation systems architecture, systems automation and ensuring the integrity and continuous improvement of the current state of the infrastructure. This individual will drive dynamic change aligning with business needs and technology trends.

Principal Accountabilities (but not limited to):

Accountable to operations management and product teams for design and behavior of overall systems infrastructure.

Evaluate new technologies and stay current with industry trends and developments.

Regularly update and share cross discipline knowledge both inside and outside of operations, by keeping track of new product development in other areas of the company.

Manage business relationships with key decision makers and architects (development, product) to understand their business problems, business risk appetite and collaborate on strategy and direction.

Ensure compliance with globally accepted controls, standards, and certifications

Develop product focused availability solutions spanning multiple Infrastructure technologies

Provide expertise and troubleshooting support as senior level of technical escalation for product engineering teams.

Act as senior technical advisor to product and operational teams in the implementation of projects and recommend best methods for implementation.

Map the systems and technologies to the existing processes. Prioritize what processes need attention or are not aligned with architecture. Drive process improvement.

Coordinate and collaborate with network engineering, business application and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of company systems to meet business demands.

Establish and implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure systems security.

Drive the design, implementation and support of physical datacenter estate, including HVAC controls, environmental alarms, access restrictions, etc.

Operational Management:

Willing and able to work in 7/24 operational mode; proven skills troubleshooting complex network outages

Serve as cornerstone for escalating system issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.

Perform systems configuration and management.

Plan and implement systems upgrades, maintenance and fixes.

Provide Web administration support by overseeing and maintaining Web server functions, such as assuring logging and metrics data are stable.

Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.

Manage enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure.

Define and implement strategies for integrating disparate operating environments.

Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Develop and maintain training materials and systems documentation.

Technical Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

University degree in the field of computer science, management information systems or significant equivalent related experience.

Well versed in multiple Systems; Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX

F5 LTM / GTM

Cisco Networking

Storage – SAN, EMC, HP or similar and clustering

VMWare/Virtualization

Microsoft: MCITP: Server Administrator or Enterprise Administrator

ITIL v.3

Knowledge & Experience

Extensive experience in a technical position responsible for the design and support of complex environments.

Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL Process Framework

Experience with WINTEL/Java/Glassfish/JBoss in a high availability production environment.

Knowledge of security and operations, Incident, Change and Problem management

Infrastructure Systems work experience with an emphasis towards production support of high capacity, mission critical enterprise systems (SaaS).

Demonstrated experience and expertise in infrastructure and application monitoring systems.

Experienced with all aspects of high availability, fault tolerant architectures, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuance initiatives
