Punjab Police invites Online Applications for recruitment of Male Constables (Drivers) for filling up 750 Vacancies in the District Police Cadre of Punjab Police in 2016-17. The closing date for submission of online applications is 4th November 2016.

Educational Qualification: 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/ University, and the candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Driving License: The candidates must have a valid Driving License for LMV/ LMV-NT/ Heavy Motor Vehicle at the time of applying for the post. He will be required to upload the scanned copy of the original Driving License while filling up the Online Application Form, failing which he would be barred from taking the Test.
Physical Standards: Minimum Height required is 5′ 7″ (5 feet 7 inches).
Selection Process: The Substance Abuse (Drug Addiction) Test (SAT), Physical Screening Test (PST), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Written Examination Test (WET) and Driving Proficiency Test (DPT).
Application Fee: For General category candidates – ₹ 600/-; For SC/ ST/ BC candidates – ₹ 200/-; For Ex-Servicemen candidates – No Fee. The candidates are required to deposit the fee using online payment gateway or by depositing fee at local HDFC branch.
How to Apply: Eligible Interested candidates are required to Apply Online through Punjab Police Recruitment Portal on or before 04/11/2016 (upto 11:59 p.m.).
