Recruitment of Technical Member (Trade Marks)
Applications are invited for one post of Technical Member (Trade Marks), in the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB) established at Chennai, under Section 83 of the Trade Marks Act. The post carries pay in the Pay Band (HAG) – Rs.67000-79000.
2. QUALIFICATIONS: A person, shall not be qualified for appointment as a Technical Member unless he-
(a) has for at least ten years, exercised functions of a tribunal under the Act or under the Trade and Merchandise Marks, Act, 1958 (43 of 1958), or both, and has held a post not lower than the post of a Joint Registrar for at least five years, and has 12 years of practice at bar or 12 years experience in a State Judicial Services with degree in Law; or
(b) has for at least ten years, been an advocate of a proven specialized experience in trade marks law.
3. The Member shall hold office as such for a term of 5 years from the date of entry upon such office or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
4. Eligible and willing persons may submit their applications in the proforma given in Annexure-I to the undersigned at Room No. 257 (A), Udyog Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi-110011, within 30 (Thirty) Daysfrom the date of advertisement in the Employment News.
